Edith's musical journey began in Jakarta, where she started piano lessons at a young age. Her early education laid a strong foundation, but it was her decision to pursue further studies abroad that truly shaped her career.

Edith earned her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, magna cum laude, from Texas Christian University School of Music. She then pursued her Master of Music and Doctorate of Musical Arts degrees at the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester, becoming the first Indonesian to earn a doctorate from Eastman. Her studies in the USA provided her with a global perspective and advanced training that propelled her career forward.
Throughout her career, Edith has performed as a solo artist, chamber musician, and educator across North, Central, and South America, Europe, and Asia. She has released albums like "Imagination" and "Memories," aiming to make classical music more accessible. As the President of the World Piano Teachers Association - Indonesia, she has also contributed significantly to music education in her home country.
