Categories of LPDP Scholarship

The LPDP scholarships consists of different categories of scholarships based on the target recipients and the goals of the program. Here are the types of LPDP scholarship based on these categories:

1. Targeted Scholarship:

This scholarship is aimed at providing support to individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds or underrepresented groups, including individuals with disabilities, women, and individuals from remote areas in Indonesia to promote diversity and inclusion.

2. Affirmative Scholarship:

This scholarship is aimed at providing support to individuals who wish to pursue studies in specific fields or sectors, such as education, health, or energy. The scholarship aims to address the challenges of Indonesian society and to promote the development of specific fields or sectors.

3. General Scholarship:

General scholarships are aimed at providing support to individuals who wish to pursue studies in various fields and sectors. The scholarship is open to all Indonesian citizens who meet the eligibility requirements, and the selection process is based on academic excellence, leadership potential, and the relevance of the study program to the applicant's future career goals.

4. Collaborative Scholarship:

This scholarship to study abroad is aimed at providing support to citizens who wish to pursue courses in collaboration with universities or institutions in Indonesia or abroad. The scholarship aims to promote academic collaboration and exchange between Indonesia and other countries and to enhance the quality of education and research in Indonesia.

Types of LPDP Scholarship

LPDP Scholarship General Eligibility & Requirements

1. Indonesian citizenship: Applicants must be Indonesian citizens and hold a valid Indonesian ID card (KTP).
2. Academic achievement: Applicants must have excellent academic records, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for bachelor's degree applicants, and a minimum GPA of 3.25 for master's and doctoral degree applicants. For short courses, the minimum GPA requirement is 2.75.
3. English proficiency: Applicants who plan to study in countries where English is the language of instruction, such as the United States, Australia, or the United Kingdom must demonstrate their proficiency in English by submitting TOEFL, IELTS, PTE or other equivalent test scores.
4. Admission to an accredited university: Applicants must have been granted admission to an accredited university for the program they are applying for.
5. Age limits: For LPDP bachelor's and master's degree scholarships, the age limit is 35 years old. For LPDP doctoral scholarships, the age limit is 40 years old. For short courses, the age limit is 45 years old.
6. Work experience: Applicants for LPDP master's and doctoral degree scholarships must have at least two years of work experience after graduation, while applicants for short courses must have a minimum of one year of work experience.
7. Commitment to return to Indonesia: Applicants must sign a statement of their commitment to return to Indonesia after completing their studies and serve Indonesia for a minimum period of five years.

The LoA is an important document that demonstrates that the student has been accepted by a reputable university and is eligible for LPDP scholarship funding. LPDP scholarship recipients are required to submit a letter of acceptance to be eligible for the scholarship funding.

How to Register for LPDP Scholarship?

Follow the below mentioned steps to register and apply for LPDP scholarships:

1. Visit LPDP official website: Go to the LPDP official website at www.lpdp.kemenkeu.go.id and click on the "Pendaftaran" or "Registration" tab.
2. Create an account: Click on the "Daftar" or "Register" button and fill in the registration form with your personal information, including your full name, email address, phone number, and password. Make sure to provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
3. Choose the scholarship program: After creating an account, choose the scholarship program that you want to apply for, such as bachelor's degree/master's degree/doctoral degree scholarship.
4. Complete the application form: Fill in the application form with your personal information, academic background, work experience, research proposal (if required), and other supporting documents, such as transcripts, certificates, and recommendation letters.
5. Pay the registration fee: Pay the registration fee according to the scholarship program that you are applying for.
